Roger brings an eclectic approach to working with individuals that combines the best of evidence-based approaches like Applied Behavioural Analysis with respect for sensory, environmental, social and biomedical concerns and a decidedly Humanistic approach that includes using mindfulness techniques to help an individual overcome their challenges.
Roger has a deep regard for the individual as a person first who has a challenge second.
He believes in using a firm mindset with a soft heart to help children make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.
He has worked front line with the hardest to serve populations in Group Homes and Government run Institutions as well as consulting to a wide range of organizations including schools, hospitals, private clinics, group homes and private homes to help people with various disorders lead as normal a life as possible. He has taught conflict resolution to HR departments, created safety plans and taught crisis intervention for at risk patients in hospitals and group homes.
He is certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Applied Behavioural Analysis & Crisis Intervention and he is the author of the book ‘The Top 20 Ways To Suck As A Parent’.
